Chapter 14 · Verse 1492
Å नो विश्वासु हव्यं इन्द्रं समत्सु भ्ञुषत. उप ब्रह्माणि सवनानि वृत्रहन् परमज्या ऋचीषम
O yajakas, adore and glorify Indra, lord of universal energy, world power and human forces, worthy of reverence and invocation in all our joint battles of life. May the lord of strongest bow, destroyer of evil and dispeller of darkness and ignorance, great and glorious as sung in the Rks, grace our songs of adoration and faithful efforts with the beauty and glory of success.
हे यजमानों, जीवन के संयुक्त संग्रामों में वंदनीय और आह्वाहन योग्य, विश्व ऊर्जा, विश्व शक्ति और मानव शक्तियों के स्वामी इंद्र का उपब्रह्म के रूप में सेवन और स्तुति करो। महान धनुर्धर, शत्रुहंता, अंधकार और अज्ञान के नाशक, ऋचाओं में गाए गए महान और तेजस्वी इंद्र हमें कृपा प्रदान करें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1493
त्वं दाता प्रथमो राधसामस्यसि सत्य ईशानकृत्. तुविद्युम्नस्य युज्या वृणीमहे पुत्रस्य शवसो महः
You are the original giver of means of effort and success in all fields of life. You are the maker of leaders and giver of the wealth and honours of life. Of such great lord of glory and power, promoter and protector of strength and power, we pray for wealth, honour and excellence worthy of your glory.
हे प्रभु, आप ही सभी क्षेत्रों में सफलता और सामर्थ्य के आदि प्रदाता हैं, आप ही नेतृत्व और ऐश्वर्य के निर्माता हैं। हम आपकी महान शक्ति और सामर्थ्य से धन, सम्मान और उत्कृष्टता की याचना करते हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1494
प्रत्नं पीय्ञुषं प्ञुर्व्यं यद् उक्थ्यं महो गाहाद् दिव आ निर् अधुक्षत. इन्द्रम् अभि जायमानं सम् अस्वरन्
That nectar of divinity, eternal and adorable, which the ancient sages distilled from the mighty great and infinite heaven of light, and which they perceived rising for the soul while they sang in adoration, that same nectar, O Soma, may shower on us too, we pray.
हे सोम! वह पुरातन, पूजनीय, महान् और दिव्य अमृत, जिसे प्राचीन ऋषियों ने स्वर्ग से प्राप्त किया और जिसकी स्तुति करते हुए उन्होंने आत्मा के लिए उसका उदय अनुभव किया, वही अमृत हम पर भी बरसे।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1495
Åदीं केचित् पश्यमानास आप्यं वसुरुचो दिव्या अभ्यन्ञुषत. दिवो न वारं सविता व्य्ञुर्णुते
And some men of vision who can perceive the adorable presence worthy of attainment, and some divinely blest lovers of the life sustainer Soma who adore and exalt him, these reveal the mystery and majesty of the supreme Soma spirit as the sun reveals the world of physical reality.
दिव्य दृष्टि वाले, जो परम ऐश्वर्यवान् सविता की महिमा को प्रकाशित करते हैं, वे ही उस परम सत्य को प्रकट करते हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1496
अध यद् इमे पवमान रोदसी इमा च विश्वा भुवनाभि मज्मना. य्ञुथे न निष्ंहा वृषभो वि राजसि
And then, O pure and purifying Soma, as long as these heaven and earth and all these regions of the world you wield with your might abide, you abide as the master in the centre of the multitude.
हे पावन सोम! जब तक यह स्वर्ग, पृथ्वी और ये समस्त लोक आपकी शक्ति से युक्त हैं, तब तक आप समस्त समुदाय के मध्य में अधिपति के रूप में विराजमान हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1497
इमम्ञु षु त्वम् अस्माकं सनिं गायत्रं नव्याँन्सम्. अग्ने देवेषु प्र वोचः
Agni, eternal lord omniscient, this divine knowledge, blissful, sweet and musical in Gayatri and other musical metres, ever new and giver of new ideas, pray reveal it to the sages and whisper it into our soul.
हे अग्निदेव, इस नूतन, आनंदमय, गायत्री छंद में गाए जाने वाले ज्ञान को देवताओं के समक्ष प्रकट करें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1498
विभक्तासि चित्रभानो सिन्धोर् ञुर्मा उपाक आ. सद्यो दाशुषे क्षरसि
Sadyo då‹u¶e k¶arasi. Versatile lord of wide and various knowledge soon, you always give a shower of knowledge to the man of faith, reverence and generosity.
हे विविध ज्ञान के स्वामी, आप शीघ्र ही श्रद्धावान् और उदार व्यक्ति को ज्ञान की वर्षा प्रदान करते हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1499
Å नो भज परमेष्वा वाजेषु मध्यमेषु. ›इक्षा वस्वो अन्तमस्य
Lord of knowledge and power, in the highest, medium and closest battles and businesses of life, enlighten us and give us the joy and wealth of life both material and spiritual.
हे परमेश्वर, आप सर्वोच्च, मध्यम और निकटतम युद्धों और जीवन के व्यवसायों में हमारे मार्गदर्शक बनें, हमें ज्ञान और धन से प्रकाशित करें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1500
अहम् इद्धि पितुष्परि मेधामृतस्य जग्रह. अहं स्ञुर्य इवाजनि
Aha≈ sμurya ivåjani. I have received from my father super intelligence of the universal mind and law, I have realise it too in the soul, and I feel reborn like the refulgent sun.
मैं अपने पिता से परम बुद्धि प्राप्त करता हूँ, और सूर्य की तरह पुनर्जन्म लेता हूँ।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1501
अहं प्रत्नेन जन्मना गिरः शुम्भामि कण्ववत्. येनेन्द्रः शुष्मम् इद् दधे
With the realisation of ancient and eternal knowledge and all my thought and will I sanctify and adorn my words and voice in song like a wise sage, and, by that, Indra, lord of light and power, vests me with strength and excellence.
मैं प्राचीन ज्ञान से प्रेरित होकर, अपनी वाणी को कवियों की भांति अलंकृत करता हूँ, जिससे इंद्र मुझे शक्ति और तेज प्रदान करते हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1502
ये त्वाम् इन्द्र न तुष्ंउवुर् ऋषयो ये च तुष्ंउवुः. मेमेद् वर्द्धस्व सुष्ंउतः
Memed varddhasva su¶¢uta¨. There are men who do not adore you, and there are sages who adore you, (both ways you are acknowledged and adored by praise or protest). O lord thus adored by me and pleased, pray accept my adoration and let us rise.
हे इन्द्र, जो आपकी स्तुति नहीं करते और जो करते हैं, वे सब आपकी ही महिमा गाते हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1503
अग्ने विश्वेभिर् अग्निभिर् जोसि ब्रह्म सहस्कृत. ये देवत्रा य आयुषु तेभिर् नो महया गिरः
Ye devatrå ya åyu¶u tebhir no mahayå gira¨. Agni, divine fire and spirit of life, born of divine energy, force and power, you love and accept our songs and havi offered into the yajna vedi. You love and accept our homage along with all other versions of agni, vital energy, present in nature's divinities and in living beings. Pray, along with all these, exalt our homage and songs of adoration.
हे अग्निदेव, समस्त देवों और प्राणशक्ति से युक्त होकर, आप अपनी शक्ति से उत्पन्न हुए हैं; हे बलवान अग्नि, आप हमारे स्तोत्रों को स्वीकार करें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1504
प्र स विश्वेभिर् अग्निभिर् अग्निः स यस्य वाजि- नः. तनये तोके अस्मद् आ सम्यΔ वाजैः परी- वृतः
May that Agni, along with all other universal forms of heat, whose living versions are passion, creativity and heroic expression, come fully girt about with power, passion and spirit of advancement and bless us and our kith and kin
हे अग्निदेव, अपनी समस्त दिव्य शक्तियों सहित, जो उत्साह, रचनात्मकता और पराक्रम से युक्त हैं, वे हमें और हमारे वंशजों को पूर्ण सामर्थ्य और प्रगति की भावना से परिपूर्ण करें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1505
त्वं नो अग्ने अग्निभिर् ब्रह्म यज्¤अम् च वर्द्धय. त्वं नो देवतातये रायो दानाय चोदय
Agni, leading light of the world, by the gifts of enlightenment increase and develop our knowledge and corporate action, and inspire and enlighten us for the service of the divinities to win their gifts of wealth, honour and excellence.
हे अग्निदेव, अपनी दीप्ति से हमारे ज्ञान और कर्म को बढ़ाएं, और हमें देवों की सेवा के लिए प्रेरित करें ताकि हम धन और यश प्राप्त कर सकें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1506
त्वे सोम प्रथमा वृक्तबर्हिषो महे वाजाय श्रवसे धियम् दधुः. स त्वं नो वीर वीर्- याय चोदय
Into you, O Soma, did ancient sages of uninvolved mind with yajnic dedication concentrate and focus their mind and senses for the attainment of a high order of spiritual enlightenment. O Soma spirit of divinity that enlightened the sages, pray inspire and enlighten us too with that same divine manliness of vision and action.
हे सोम! प्राचीन ऋषियों ने महान ज्ञान और बल की प्राप्ति के लिए अपने मन को आप में एकाग्र किया। हे सोम! आप हमें भी उस ज्ञान और बल से प्रेरित करें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1507
अभ्यभि हि श्रवसा ततर्दिथोत्सम् न कं चिज्- जनपानम् अक्षितम्. ›अर्याभिर् न भरमाणो गभस्त्योः
Bearing in hands as if, and maintaining in balance by evolutionary powers, you hold and control the means of life sustenance, and release them in constant flow of food and energy like an inexhaustible stream of water for the maintenance and fulfilment of common humanity.
हे भगवन, आप अपनी शक्ति से जीवन के साधनों को धारण करते हैं और उन्हें समस्त मानव जाति के पोषण के लिए निरंतर प्रवाहित करते हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1508
अजीजनो अमृत मर्त्याय कम् ऋतस्य धर्मन्न्- अमृतस्य चारुणः. सदासरो वाजम् अच्छा सनिष्यदत्
Immortal Soma, for mortal humanity you create peace and pleasure radiating in the operative laws of eternal and immortal blissful dynamics of existence, vesting in mortals the energy and ambition to live, and you move on ever in union with mortals and immortals.
हे सोम, तुम नश्वर मनुष्यों के लिए अमृत और आनंद का सृजन करते हो, जो अस्तित्व के शाश्वत नियमों में प्रकाशित होते हैं, और तुम नश्वर तथा अमर के साथ सदा संयुक्त रहते हो।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1509
एन्दुम् इन्द्राय सि¤चत पिबाति सोम्यं मधु. प्र राधाँन्सि चोदयते महित्वना
Pra rådhå~nsi codayate mahitvanå. Prepare, offer and regale Indra with the nectar drink of faith and performance. He values, enjoys and promotes the honey sweets of peace, pleasure and progress and, with his power and grandeur, inspires the people with will and competence and ambition for progress and excellence.
हे इन्द्र, सोम का मधुर रस पीकर, अपनी महिमा से, वे सब कार्य सिद्ध करो जो प्रगति के लिए आवश्यक हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1510
उपो हरीणां पतिं राधः पृ¤चन्तम् अब्रवम्. न्ञुनं श्रुधि स्तुवतो अश्व्यस्य
I reach the lord protector and controller of the moving worlds, the omnipotent who enjoins the soul with the world of nature, and I closely whisper in prayer: Listen to the celebrant devotee who is keen to move from humanity to divinity and deserves to be accepted.
मैं गतिमान लोकों के स्वामी, नियंत्रक और सर्वशक्तिमान ईश्वर की शरण में जाता हूँ, जो आत्मा को प्रकृति से जोड़ते हैं, और स्तुति करने वाले भक्त की प्रार्थना सुनता हूँ जो दिव्यता की ओर बढ़ना चाहता है।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1511
न ह्याýΔग पुरा च न जज्¤ए वीरतरस् त्वत्. न की राया नैवथा न भन्दना
Na k∂ råyå naivathå na bhandanå. Pray listen, Indra, dearest lord of life, true it is that no one born ever before or after was greater or mightier than you, none by wealth and power, none by competence and advancement, none by songs of prayer and adoration, none like you.
हे वीरतम इंद्र, आपसे पहले या बाद में कोई भी आपसे अधिक महान या शक्तिशाली नहीं जन्मा है।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1512
नदं व ओदतीनां नदं योयुवतीनाम्. पतिं वो अघ्न्यानां धेन्ञुनाम् इषुध्यसि
Pati≈ vo aghnyånå≈ dhenμunåm i¶udhyasi. Indra is the resounding source of fresh energies, roaring expression of maiden youthfulness, protector and promoter of sacred sources of production and nourishment such as cows which must not be killed or hurt, and he is the relentless inexhaustible keeper of your arrows for your targets of defence and development.
हे इन्द्र, आप ही नवीन ऊर्जाओं के गर्जन, युवावस्था की वाणी, और न मारी जाने वाली गौओं जैसे पवित्र उत्पादन और पोषण के साधनों के रक्षक और प्रवर्तक हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1513
देवो वो द्रविणोदाः प्ञुर्णाम् विवष्ंवासिचम्. उद् वा सि¤चध्वम् उप वा पृणध्वं आद् इद् वो देव ओहते
Agni, self-refulgent lord giver of wealth, honour and excellence, loves to have your fire of yajnic action sprinkled with overflowing ladle of ghrta and the highest refined action. Serve him closely, feed the fire to the full, let the flames rise, and the generous lord refulgent would lead you to the heights of prosperity and excellence.
हे धन और ऐश्वर्य के दाता देव, आपकी यज्ञीय क्रियाओं से परिपूर्ण आहुति को अग्निदेव अत्यंत प्रिय मानते हैं; उन्हें भली-भाँति तृप्त करो, जिससे वे आपको समृद्धि की ओर ले जाएँ।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1514
तं होतारम् अध्वरस्य प्रचेतसं वह्निं देवा अकृण्वत. दधाति रत्नं विधते सुवीर्- यम् अग्निर् जनाय दाशुषे
Let the brilliant, noble and generous leaders of humanity choose, sanctify and anoint that intelligent all-aware person as Agni, leader, ruler and high-priest of the yajnic social order of love, peace and non- violence, who would create and bear the jewel wealth and values of life and high power and prestige of the noblest order for generous self-sacrificing people dedicated to the yajna of the social system.
हे यज्ञ के तेजस्वी, ज्ञानवान् और सर्वज्ञ अग्नि देव, आप ही इस यज्ञ के प्रमुख हैं, जो मनुष्यों के लिए धन और ऐश्वर्य प्रदान करते हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1515
अदर्शि गातुवित्तमो यस्मिन् व्रतान्यादधुः. उपो षु जातम् आर्यस्य वर्द्धनम् अग्निं नक्षन्तु नो गिरः
Upo ¶u jåtam åryasya varddhanam agni≈ nak¶antu no gira¨. There is seen the light of Agni, best knower of the ways of life, where people direct and concentrate their vows of piety and discipline. Let our songs of adoration rise and reach Agni, self-revealed, who opens the paths of progress and urges us on to reach the goal of rectitude for noble people.
हे अग्निदेव, आप मार्ग के ज्ञाता हैं, जहाँ लोग अपने व्रतों को समर्पित करते हैं, वहाँ आपका प्रकाश प्रकट होता है।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1516
यस्माद् रेजन्त कृष्ंअयश्चर्कृत्यानि कृण्वतः. सहस्रसां मेधसाताविव त्मनाग्निम् धीभिर् नमस्यत
Sahasraså≈ medhasåtåviva tmanågnim dh∂bhir namasyata. From that gift of light the children of earth shine and continue doing their daily duties. O people, do service in homage to Agni, giver of light and a thousand other gifts as in yajnic generosity. Do so with your heart and soul, adore him sincerely by thought and action.
जिससे प्रकाशमान होकर पृथ्वी के पुत्र अपने दैनिक कर्म करते हैं, हे मनुष्यों, उस अग्नि की हृदय से स्तुति करो।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1517
प्र दैवोदासो अग्निर् देव इन्द्रो न मज्मना. अनु मातरं पृथिवीं वि वावृते तस्थौ नाकस्य शर्मणि
Anu måtara≈ pæthiv∂≈ vi våvæte tasthau nåkasya ‹armaƒi. Agni, the sun, lover of holy admirers, sitting as if on top of heaven in glory, turns his rays of light in circuit to the mother earth for her children.
हे अग्निदेव, आप सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी हैं, जो स्वर्ग में विराजमान होकर अपनी किरणों से पृथ्वी और उसके पुत्रों का पोषण करते हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1518
अग्न आय्ञुँन्षि पवस आ सुवोर्जम् इषं च नः. Åरे बाधस्व दुच्छुनाम्
Åre bådhasva ducchunåm. Agni, heat and energy of life divine, give us good health and long age with purity, create and bring us food, energy and excellence, and throw off and keep away all evils and negativities from us.
हे अग्निदेव, हमें शुद्धता के साथ दीर्घायु, शक्ति और उत्तम भोजन प्रदान करें, और सभी बुराइयों को दूर करें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1519
अग्निर् ऋषिः पवमानः पा¤चजन्यः पुरोहितः. तम् ईमहे महागयम्
Tam ∂mahe mahågayam. Agni is the light of life and fire of passion, pure and purifying energy ever radiative, universal inspirer of all people on earth and energiser of all five faculties, adorable leader of entire humanity and guiding spirit of the corporate life of all human communities together. We adore, serve and pray for the favour of such generous father of the household of humanity.
हे अग्निदेव, आप पवित्र, सर्वव्यापी, यज्ञ के पुरोहित हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1520
अग्ने पवस्व स्वपा अस्मे वर्चः सुवीर्यम्. दधद् रयिम् मयि पोषम्
Dadhad rayim mayi po¶am. Agni, pray radiate and purify us. Lord of holy action, bless us with holy lustre, noble courage and virility. Bear and bring us wealth, honour and excellence with promotive health and nourishment.
हे अग्निदेव, हमें पवित्र तेज, पराक्रम और बल प्रदान करें, तथा धन, पोषण और उत्तम स्वास्थ्य से युक्त करें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1521
अग्ने पावक रोचिषा मन्द्रया देव जिह्वया. Å देवान् वक्षि यक्षि च
Å devån vak¶i yak¶i ca. Agni, light of Divinity, fire of life, generous and brilliant giver of knowledge and enlightenment, with a sweet and lustrous tongue, bright and blissful, you bear and bring the divinities of nature and nobilities of humanity to the vedi and serve them from here with light and energy.
हे अग्निदेव, अपनी दीप्तिमान जिह्वा से, जो सुखदायक और तेजस्वी है, देवताओं को यहाँ लाओ।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1522
तं त्वा घृतस्नवीमहे चित्रभानो स्वर् दृशम्. देवाँन् आ वीतये वह
Agni, pure and purifier, light of fire feeding on ghrta, showerer of life's beauty and grace, shining with manifold lustre, indeed the very light and bliss of heaven, we pray: With a sweet and lustrous tongue of flame full of bliss, bring for us the nobilities and divinities of nature and humanity for a feast of pleasure and enlightenment and serve them with love and reverence.
हे घृतपान करने वाले, तेजस्वी अग्निदेव, स्वर्ग के प्रकाश स्वरूप, हम आपकी स्तुति करते हैं; हे देवों को लाने वाले, हमें आनंदित करें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1523
वीति होत्रम् त्वा कवे द्युमन्तं सम् इधीमहि. अग्ने बृहन्तम् अध्वरे
Agne bæhantam adhvare. Agni, creative visionary of the light of heaven, in our yajnic project of love and non-violence, we invoke and enkindle you, universally great, self-refulgent and giver of the gifts of peace and enlightenment.
हे ज्ञानवान अग्निदेव, हम यज्ञ में आपकी स्तुति करते हैं और आपको प्रज्वलित करते हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1524
अवा नो अग्न ञुतिभिर् गायत्रस्य प्रभर्मणि. विश्वासु धीषु वन्द्य
Vi‹våsu dh∂¶u vandya. Lord adorable all over the world in the affairs of enlightenment, protect and advance us with your care and powers of defence and development in the transactions of knowledge and happiness of the people with your heart and soul.
हे अग्निदेव, अपनी रक्षा और उन्नति की शक्तियों से, ज्ञान और सुख के व्यवहारों में, हमें प्रकाशित करें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1525
Å नो अग्ने रयिम् भर सत्रासाहं वरेण्यम्. विश्वासु पृत्सु दुष्ंअरम्
Vi‹våsu Pætsu du¶¢aram. Agni, lord of wealth and power, bless us with cherished wealth and power, formidable and invincible in all the battles of life, overcoming all and ever.
हे अग्निदेव, हमें धन और सामर्थ्य प्रदान करें, जो सभी युद्धों में विजयी और सर्वदा अजेय हो।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1526
Å नो अग्ने सुचेतुना रयिं विश्वायु-पोषसम्. मार्डीकं धेहि जीवसे
MårŒ∂ka≈ dhehi j∂vase. Agni, lord of life, light and wealth, bring us and bless us with wealth along with knowledge, science and technology that may provide nourishment and health for all, soothing and joyful for happy living.
हे अग्निदेव, हमें ज्ञान, विज्ञान और प्रौद्योगिकी से युक्त धन प्रदान करें, जो सभी के लिए पोषण और स्वास्थ्यदायक हो, तथा सुखमय जीवन के लिए आनंददायक हो।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1527
अग्निं हिन्वन्तु नो धियः सप्तिम् आशुम् इवाजिषु. तेन जेष्म धनं धनम्
Tena je¶ma dhana≈ dhanam. Let our thought, will and actions research and develop fire energy like a fleet or horse spurred to battle for victory so that thereby we may achieve the real wealth of wealths.
हे अग्निदेव, हमारी बुद्धि और कर्मों को युद्ध के लिए प्रेरित अश्व की भांति तीव्र गति से आगे बढ़ाएं, जिससे हम धन-संपत्ति रूपी वास्तविक ऐश्वर्य को प्राप्त कर सकें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1528
यया गा आकरामहै सेनयाग्ने तवोत्या. तां नो हिन्व मघत्तये
Tå≈ no hinva maghattaye. O leading light of life, energy of fire, with your powers and means of protection by which we acquire our lands and develop our fields and cattle wealth, pray enhance and accelerate that same power for us for acqui- sition of wealth, power and honour.
हे जीवन के प्रकाश, अग्नि की ऊर्जा, अपनी शक्ति और सुरक्षा के साधनों से, जिनसे हम अपनी भूमि प्राप्त करते हैं और अपने खेतों और पशुधन का विकास करते हैं, कृपया धन, शक्ति और सम्मान की प्राप्ति के लिए उस शक्ति को हमारे लिए बढ़ाएँ और तेज करें।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1530
अग्ने नक्षत्रम् अजरम् आ स्ञुर्यं रोहयो दिवि. दधज् ज्योतिर् जनेभ्यः
Dadhaj jyotir janebhya¨. Agni, light of life, ruler of existence, let the unaging sun, star of good fortune, rise high in heaven so that it may bring light and energy for humanity and enhance their well being.
हे अग्निदेव, आप सूर्य को, जो अजर और नक्षत्रों का स्वामी है, स्वर्ग में स्थापित करें, जिससे वह मनुष्यों के लिए प्रकाश और कल्याण लाए।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1531
अग्ने केतुर् विशाम् असि प्रेष्ंहः श्रेष्ंह उपस्- थसत्. बोधा स्तोत्रे वयो दधत्

Chapter 14 · Verse 1532
अग्निर् म्ञुर्द्धा दिवः ककुत्पतिः पृथिव्या अयम्. अपां रेताँन्सि जिन्वति
This Agni is the highest lord and master of all on top of heaven and earth and gives energy and sustenance to the seeds of life in the waters of the universe.
यह अग्नि स्वर्ग और पृथ्वी का सर्वोच्च स्वामी है, जो जल के बीजों को जीवन शक्ति प्रदान करता है।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1533
∫शिषे वार्यस्य हि दात्रस्याग्ने स्वः-पतिः. स्तोता स्यां तव शर्मणि
Stotå syå≈ tava ‹armaƒi. Agni, you are the lord and protector of the peace and bliss of heaven. You rule over the wealth, honour and excellence of the world. I pray that I may adore and celebrate your divine glory and abide in heavenly peace and joy under your divine protection.
हे अग्निदेव, आप स्वर्ग के सुख और ऐश्वर्य के स्वामी हैं, मैं आपकी महिमा का गान करता हूँ।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1534
उद् अग्ने शुचयस् तव शुक्रा भ्राजन्त ईरते. तव ज्योतीँन्ष्यर्चयः
Tava jyot∂~n¶yarcaya¨. Agni, light and life of the world, your fires and flames, lights and lightnings, pure, white and undefiled, shine and radiate all over spaces. (Rg. 8-44-17)
हे अग्निदेव, आपके तेजस्वी प्रकाश और शुद्ध ज्वालाएँ सर्वत्र प्रकाशित हो रही हैं।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1535
कस्ते जामिर् जनानाम् अग्ने को दाश्वध्वरः. को ह कस्मिन्न् असि श्रितः
Ko ha kasminn asi ‹rita¨. Agni, who among people is your brother that knows well? Who is the giver? Who is the yajaka? Who are you? Wherein do you abide.
हे अग्निदेव, मनुष्यों में आपका कौन बंधु है जो आपको भली-भाँति जानता है? कौन दाता है, कौन यज्ञ करने वाला है? आप कौन हैं और कहाँ निवास करते हैं?
Chapter 14 · Verse 1536
त्वं जामिर् जनानाम् अग्ने मित्रो असि प्रियः. सखा सखिभ्य ईड्यः
Sakhå sakhibhya ∂Œya¨. Agni, you are the brother and saviour of the people. You are the friend. You are so dear and affectionate a source of fulfilment. You are the friend of friends, adorable for your companions.
हे अग्नि, तुम मनुष्यों के मित्र और रक्षक हो, प्रिय सखा हो।
Chapter 14 · Verse 1537
यजा नो मित्रावरुणा यजा देवाँन् ऋतम् बृहत्. अग्ने यक्षि स्वं दमम्
Agne yak¶i sva≈ damam. Agni, do yajna for Mitra and Varuna, pranic energy of prana and apana. Do yajna for the divine energies of nature. Do yajna for Rtam, promotion of Eternal Knowledge of divine Law. Do yajna for the sake of your own home and for self-control and self-culture.
हे मित्र और वरुण, हे देवगण, हम आपके लिए यज्ञ करते हैं, जो सत्य और महान है।
